Raffaella Zagni, pianist
Comes from
a well-known musical family in Bologna.
She
is the third generation of a family that had ties to the
italian composer and conductor Adone Zecchi. This intimate
relationship had a great influence on the young pianist’s
development.
She graduates with top
marks at Conservatory of Bologna. Then she graduates
with top honours in "Musical and interpretative disciplines"
at Conservatory of Adria (Ro) and with top marks in "Instrumental
Didactic" at Conservatory of Ferrara. She specializes in
International Courses with Konstantin Bogino and in Chamber
Music with Kostantin Bogino, Pier Narciso Masi, Christa
Butzberger, Jörg Demus, Martha Gulyas, Mikahil Kugel, Irwin
Gage and Alexander Lonquich. After the graduation with top
marks in "Chamber Music with Piano" at Musical Academy in
Florence, in 2001 she graduates with top honours and special
mention at International Pianistic Academy "Incontri con il
Maestro" in Imola. She studies composition.
Having won several scholarships and many competitions, she
performs regularly
in both solo recitals and in chamber music in Italy and
abroad:
Theatres of Bologna, Ferrara, Milan,
Montecarlo, Parma, Ravenna, Turin, Toulouse, Venice, etc.
She is guest of
Ravenna Festival, Concert
Society in Milan, Asolo Musica, Ascoli Piceno Festival,
"Musica Insieme" and Royal Philharmonic Academy in Bologna,
Paško Ljeto Festival (Croatia), International Piano Festival
"Cittŕ di Rimini", Conservatory of Italian Switzerland,
Quartet Society of Busto Arsizio, Romania Accademy,
Pianoforum in Bologna, Festival Arte Donna in Venezia, etc.
She performs for the Council of the Energy's Ministers of
the European Union.
She collaborates with such eminent artists as Riccardo Muti
(conductor), Samuel Ramey (bass), Mikhaďl
Kugel (violist), Konstantin Bogino, Clive Britton,
Pier Narciso Masi, Sergio Perticaroli, Maurizio Zanini (pianists),
Giorgio Zagnoni (flute), Valentino Zucchiatti (bassoon),
Remo Vinciguerra (composer), Gloria Banditelli
(mezzosoprano), Garbis Boyagian (baritone),

Past teacher at Professional Courses of Arturo Toscanini
Foundation; she is now assistant of the Main Piano and
Subsidiary Piano courses at Conservatorio in Ferrara. She
teaches piano at the Musical Institut "A. Banchieri”
in Molinella, too.
She is the President of the A.Gi.Mus. Bologna, the Artistic
Director of the International Festival "Donne ch'avete
intelletto di...suono" and of the International Piano
Competition "Marco Fortini".
She records for R.A.I. Italian Radio and Television and Kicco Classic.
